FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dance Club Caters to Busy Moms and Their Kids
Unique new concept combines the fun of a dance club with the social interaction of a playdate for parents and their children Whitby ON, (January 13, 2009) As a rule, “Family Entertainment” means it’s kid-centric. Playlands, parks and movies are all designed for kids to enjoy. Diaper Disco re-invents family fun by hosting an event geared to entertain parents who can interact with their children. Kids and adults are invited to get up on the dance floor together to shake their booties to such timeless favourites as The Jackson 5, Donna Summer, and the Bee Gees. “Now that I have a toddler, I spend most of my day finding ways to entertain him. We both enjoy dancing, but he’s a little bit Barney, and I’m a little bit rock-n-roll. A dance party where I can get up and groove with my son, my friends and their families just seemed like a fun way to exercise and socialize at the same time.” admits Diaper Disco CEO, Leslie Hughes. Music is kept at a baby-friendly level, while the Candy Bar serves up fun treats such as Smarties, candy necklaces, gummy worms and juice boxes. Diaper changes and breast-feeding can be taken care of in the “exclusive” Private VIP Lounge. Date: Saturday, February 14th, 2009 Time: 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Location: Johnny B Club and Restaurant, Whitby Entertainment Centrum Advance tickets are $10 per person or $30 for a Family Pass (4 people). Tickets at the door are $15. Children not yet walking are free. A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the Valentine Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital.
